Job Description & Offer
The OPERATIONS Level consists of all other Deck Officers, maintaining direct control over the performance of all functions within the designated area of responsibility, in accordance with the Company’s procedures and under the direction and supervision of an Officer serving in the Management Level of responsibility. The Safety Officer Firefighter reports and is accountable to the Safety Manager.
• Maintenance and inspection of all safety equipment FFE, LSA with record keeping (weekly, monthly). Coordinate always with Safety Manager and Staff Captain. Reporting any malfunctions or issues.
• Carry out all the training with the Fire teams coordinate always with Safety Manager and 2ND Officer Safety Ass.
• Responsible for All hot works, assessment of working area. Coordinate always with Safety Manager.
• Responsible for work aloft, use of PPE. Coordinate always with Safety Manager and Staff Captain.
• During arrival - departure, Responsible to be on the Pilot ladder and Gangway, coordinate with Security Officer to ensure that all safety procedures are following. (PPE,Safety net, Harness, helmets, proper set up of ladders and gangways).
Requirements
• 2 years ‘experience in rank on similar cruise vessels or 5 years’ experience in rank shore side • 3/O license as a minimum • Advance Firefighting training • STCW Certification
